The first prize award of $25,000 makes the Dallas Competition the best-paid such event for organists in the entire world. Recordings featuring the Dallas Meyerson Symphony Center Fisk pipe organ are available in a number of different offerings (NONE of them featuring any of the competitors in the event). These may be had through Gothic Records (800-735-4720, two albums featuring Mary Preston, Meyerson organ resident-artist, exceptional talent). Other discs have been produced on the Dorian (Jongen Symphonie Concertante for Organ and Orchestra, with soloist Jean Guillou and the Dallas Symphony) and Reference Recordings (Dallas Wind Symphony conducted by Frederick Fennell, Pomp and Pipes, with organist Paul Riedo) labels.
