With 33,112 pipes, the Midmer-Losh at Boardwalk Hall is the world’s largest pipe organ, and though not yet 100% functional at the moment, it is slowly coming back to life at the hands of the staff and volunteers of the Historic Organ Restoration Committee. Included are comments from recitalist Dylan David Shaw and Curator Nathan Bryson (r. 8/10/22). A video of Dylan playing Nimrod from Elgar’s Enigma Variations is available on Youtube.
This monumental pipe organ is played at noon Monday through Friday most weekdays (check the online calendar) through Labor Day, then Wednesdays only through December, with Curators Tours offered at 10AM on Wednesdays April through December.
