On April 14, 2019, one day before the disastrous fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, a smaller fire in the crypt of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine caused considerable smoke damage to the famous Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ. These performances, and those last week, celebrated the instrument’s return-from-repair.
